We all try and do our bit for the environment, and at EMS we think the best way to do that is to be environmentally conscious when we chose the packing materials used for shipping your orders.

Boxes:
In the last year we haven’t used a single new box!   We keep all the boxes from goods inwards and reuse them to send your orders.  ‘Reusing’ is the most effective way of reducing environmental impact.

Posting Bags:
Posting an order in a shipping bag is much lighter than using a box, so it reduces the amount of fuel used getting your order out to you, but a box can be recycled, or reused and is Biodegradable, so what is the answer?

Envirobags™  are:
100% recyclable
100% biodegradable
Made from 95% recycled material.

They are also an ugly grey colour, but we don’t think you will mind too much.

Bubble Wrap and space fillers:
Using bubble wrap is a great way to protect goods in transit and it is light weight which reduces the amount of fuel used in shipping.  We use three kinds:

We reduce environmental impact by reusing the bubble wrap sent to us.
We use enviro-wrap, which is 100% recyclable and 100% biodegradable.
We reuse space fillers and other packing materials including, crinkle card, boxes and even sleeping mat off cuts.

When your order arrives please consider how you dispose of the packing materials, or better still reuse what you can. Thanks.
